Ο Χρήστος Καρτέρης είναι σκηνοθέτης, γεννημένος το 1989 και διαμένοντας στην Αθήνα, Ελλάδα. Η φιλμογραφία του περιλαμβάνει ταινίες μικρού μήκους που έχουν παρουσιαστεί σε διεθνή και ελληνικά φεστιβάλ κινηματογράφου. Το 2021 τιμήθηκε με το «Βραβείο Καλύτερου Μικρού Ντοκιμαντέρ» στα Iris Awards της Ελληνικής Ακαδημίας Κινηματογράφου και το 2020 με το Βραβείο Καλύτερου Ντοκιμαντέρ στο 43ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ταινιών Μικρού Μήκους Δράμας για την ταινία μικρού μήκους «Teo, my neighbor». Το «Beware of the Southern Stars» είναι η τέταρτη ταινία μικρού μήκους του, η οποία έκανε διεθνή πρεμιέρα στο 41ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου της Βαρσοβίας και τιμήθηκε με Ειδική Μνεία Ντοκιμαντέρ στο 31ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Αθηνών, με το 1ο Βραβείο Καλύτερου Μικρού Ντοκιμαντέρ στο 19ο Ελληνικό Φεστιβάλ Ντοκιμαντέρ Χαλκίδας και με το Βραβείο Κοινού Μικρού Μήκους στο 11ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ντοκιμαντέρ Πελοποννήσου.

Christos Karteris is director, born in 1989 and living in Athens, Greece. His filmography includes short films that have been presented at international and Greek film festivals. In 2021, he was awarded with the “Best Short Documentary Award” at the Iris Awards of the Hellenic Film Academy and in 2020 with the Best Documentary Award at the 43rd International Drama Short Film Festival for the short film “Teo, my neighbor”. “Beware of the Southern stars” is his fourth short film which has done International Premiere at the 41st Warsaw International Film Festival and awarded with the Special Mention Documentary at 31st Athens International Film Festival, with the 1st Award for the Best Short Documentary Film at 19th Greek Documentary Film Festival of Chalkida and with the Audience Award Short Film at 11th Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival.
