“The invention of the Other” is an epic, intimate and procedural documentary about one of the most important missions ever carried out in the depths of the Amazon rainforest to try to find and establish contact with a group of isolated indigenous people of the Korubo ethnic group in a state of vulnerability and try to promote a delicate reunion with part of the family already contacted a few years before. Bruno Pereira, who would be later murdered in the same region and turned into an international symbol in favor of the indigenous and the forest, leads the expedition.

Το έργο προσπαθεί να έρθει σε επαφή με μια ομάδα απομονωμένων ιθαγενών της εθνοτικής ομάδας Korubo που βρίσκεται σε ευάλωτη κατάσταση και προωθεί την επανένωση με ένα μέρος της οικογένειας. Επικεφαλής της αποστολής είναι ο Bruno Pereira, ο οποίος αργότερα θα δολοφονηθεί στην ίδια περιοχή και θα μετατραπεί σε διεθνές σύμβολο υπέρ των ιθαγενών και του δάσους.
